living. The brand takes its name from its founder, Venus Hantanasukit — a
second-generation hatmaker whose expertise stems from decades of
producing for luxury retailers across Japan. Reversed, “Venus”
becomes “SUNEV,” a name that not only mirrors her identity but also
evokes sunlight, femininity, and understated strength.

At the heart of the brand is its emblem: a seashell, symbolizing the
mythological birthplace of Venus and the enduring elegance of the
ocean. Much like the goddess emerging from the sea, SUNEV’s creations
are designed to feel effortless, graceful, and radiant — echoing both the
sun-soaked spirit of coastal escape and the tactile warmth of nature.
